Sails Details Overview

Stitching

All seams on Mauri bluewater sails are double or triple-stitched as required. Mauri Sails uses specially constructed synthetic cloth woven or laminates with fibers that increase strength, UV protection and longevity that will stand up to the demands of long-distance cruising.

Detailing
We use heavy-duty, fiberglass battens for longer sail life. Details, such as batten end closures, feature easy adjustment and extra chafe protection are with in specs for bluewater cruising. Every Mauri Sail is built to endure and to perform in a wide wind range of wind and sea conditions.

Reinforcing
Long reinforced patches that will take the high-loads of the head, tack, and clew. Our sailmakers reinforce wear-and-tear areas around the batten pockets, slides, and reef points. Reinforcements around hardware attachments; anti-chaffing on seam coatings, stanchions and spreaders patches when required.
